The network is designed to provide an informal, social forum for secondary school teachers and teaching assistants who are currently studying at Birkbeck or are alumni of the college.

The network provides an opportunity to meet colleagues and academics over a glass of wine, discuss teaching pressures and experiences, talk about how studies at Birkbeck can be made more relevant to teachers’ professional lives, and get involved with the development of teaching resources. Most of all, the network aims to give teachers a chance to talk with colleagues about matters of interest and concern.

The next meeting will be held in Room 501 in Birkbeck’s Department of History, Classics, and Archaeology, 30 Russell Square, on Tuesday 1st May from 18.00-19.30. All are welcome, however to help us track numbers please register via Eventbrite.

For further information about the network, please email centreforinternationalism@gmail.com
